Passing On Old Coins

20130817_181019My brother is getting married next month and that means the extended family will be growing! My brother’s fiancé knows I collect coins, so she gave me a number of her old ones to sort through, which was so thoughtful!

On Sunday I finally got around to looking through them all and found a number of old Canadian, American, Australian, New Zealand, Bahamas, British and many more different style of coins! It was pretty cool because I actually don’t have many old coins outside of Canadian. I actually don’t think I really have any. The oldest one in this lot was probably an 1885 British half-pence, which is so cool to own something from the 1800’s.

In terms of Canadian coins I was quite happy to find a penny from 1900! Got to add that plus a few more older pennies to my collection.
